JAMES BOND: LIVE AND LET DIE GRAPHIC NOVEL
Logo Design | Book and Cover Design
2019's official, hardcover graphic novel adaptation of Ian Fleming's James Bond: Live and Let Die. Following my design template for 2018's Casino Royale, the cover design, which I wanted to have a 1950's era pulp novel feel with the logo and dress, featured a matte-finish and beautiful art by Fay Dalton. For the interior design elements, I created vector images combining multiple elements from the story (Bond's Walther/Mr. Big's yacht, New York CIty/Jamaica, etc.), and overlaid the artwork of Kewber Ball as negative space elements. The intended effect was to give readers a feeling that any of these elements could have been pulled out of the stylized opening credits of the Bond films. The overall clean style with large areas of negative/white space was in keeping with my design of the previous volume so that there was consistency throughout the line.
